The gravitational pull of the Moon on the Earth causes different tides. A Spring tide is when the high tides are really high and the low tides are really low. This occurs right before, during, and right after a new or full moon.
A neap tide is when the high tides aren't that high and the low tides aren't that low. This occurs right before, during, and right after a first quarter or 3 quarters moon.
Different types- Spring (high tides) and Neap (Low tides)
1:15 is the first low tide, 7:45 is the first high tide, 2nd low is 1, and 2nd
high is 7:30. We will be swimming any time between 2 mpm and 6 pm.
